User Story: Spirits from Shooting Spree?
Recently there was a road – rage shooting incident on the highway in front of the nursing home where my mother is recovering from a stroke. The shooter killed a woman and a bystander who ran to lend her assistance; then he ran over another bystander with his car, killing them. He later died in a shootout with police. This happened at rush hour in gridlocked traffic, so people were running for safety. He wounded others, including an EMT. The first victim had multiple wounds on her left side.
The next day my mother pointed at an empty guest chair and said, ” get a nurse, that lady is bleeding!” I thought that, with her glasses off, she had mistaken a colorful blanket on the chair for a person. So I moved the blanket. I felt a slight chill near the chair but Mom settled down. The same thing happened the next night. This time, my mother added, “oh, she needs help! Her whole left side is bleeding!”
I have investigated hauntings for decades and have only recently started using Ghost Radar. On investigations I had picked up words like “farmer,” “married, ” and “sick,” but nothing particularly specific. I had not yet used it enough to be convinced that it wasn’t just a random word generator using words that might apply to almost any haunting.
Anyway, I turned on the Ghost Radar app and set it on the chair. Within minutes I got radar hits coinciding with the following words, in this order: “yesterday,” “shoot,” “sudden,” “run,” “lead,” “follow,” “three,” “glass,” “lost,” and “black.”
While the event had occurred two days prior and not “yesterday,” — close enough. But the other words all applied to the shooting. Three dead. The shooter’s car was black. People ran. Glass all over the road. I am sure the spirits of the deceased are VERY lost right now. As for what my Mom saw? The woman who was the first victim was shot several times in the left side.
